Many Northwind aviation detachments (AvDet) left their mark on a bulkhead in aviation spaces over the years.  The early detachments were numbered Icebreaker Support Section (IBSEC) deployments.  Most entries on the bulkhead list the names of the detachment personnel.  Some record detachment dates, flight hours, ports of call, and cruise comments. The bulk head was removed after the cutter was decommission in 1989 and restored by ATC Mobile personal in 1991.  You can view the bulkhead art at the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida, where these photographs were taken in February 2007.
